Shift is a proposed journal highlighting the TED prize winner of 2010, Richard Davidson. Davidson received his PhD from Harvard University in Psychophysiology - the study of how consciousness affects one’s physical state.
This issue of Shift Magazine focuses on psychological science, specifically how it affects mental illness and dysfunction, and what can be done from a cognitive approach to help people suffering from these afflictions.
Ultimately, it suggests that the link between mental disorders and creativity indicates that there may be alternatives to prescriptions to help control one’s psyche.
