Inspired by NPR's Story Corps, The Story Project serves as catalyst for exchange within the society, with the intention that, over time, it creates a collective mind mapping of shared experiences.
The exhibition begins with a series of prompts, through which instigate a person sharing an experience they’ve had. After having recorded a story, their experience serves as a catalyst for someone else’s and so forth, and the web grows.
While the exhibition itself would take place at the Wing Luke Museum, it eventually spreads virally throughout the community at social hubs such as coffee shops and bus stops. Ultimately, it serves as a way of realizing that we are all connected in some way through our shared experiences with others.
